INSTRUCTIONS 1. Retention Basin-Draw a retention basin that is a minimum 4-It deep at the area specified on the plan. The bottom of the basin is specified on the plan. Slide slopes should be a maximum of 3:1 2 Swales to Retention Basin - Draw two swales starting from the HPS uphill of the building connecting to the Retention Basin. Use the slope information on the plan to identify the HPS elevation. Swale slope shall be graded in the range of 2% to 10% with side slopes not exceeding 3:1. Be sure to draw center flow-line of the swale. 3 Culvert - The invert elevation of the culvert (INV) is shown on the plan. Re-grade the contour lines to reflect the INV elevations of the culvert. Stairway + Walkway from Upper Plaza to Parking Lot - Calculate the number of steps needed between the Upper Plaza and Parking Lot Risers = 6-in, treads = 12-in. Check walls are 1-ft wide and to extend 1-ft beyond the top step and bottom step 5. Pathway from Building to Parking Lot - From the edge of the provided pathway connecting to the Building, grade a pathway that does not exceed 5% to the Parking Lot. You can tie the Pathway into the Walkway that connects with the Stairway as long as there are no steps in this portion of the Pathway 6. Do not re-grade outside of the project boundary Show all necessary spot elev ions 8. Re-grade and label 1-ft contour lines.
