Principle)
Water enters a horizontal venturi at atmospheric pressure and
flows through it. The venturi narrows from 50 mm (Point A) to 30 mm
(Point B). 1. The differential reading on a water manometer
connected across A and B is 48 mm. To obtain the value of actual
discharge Qa, 57L of water was collected in a tank in 20
seconds.
Calculate:
1. The gauge pressure at Point B
2. Theoretical and Actual Water Discharge
3. Discharge coefficient
