Problem 2(10 pts) Two reservoirs are connected by two smooth
pipes in series. The entrance and exit to and from the reservoir
are flush and submerged. The first pipe is 750 m long and 300 mm in
diameter and the second pipe is 900 m long and 150 mm in diameter.
The junction between the two pipes is a sudden contraction (k=0.3).
Other fittings present include globe valve(k=10) near the higher
reservoir and a gate valve (k=7.5) near the lower reservoir.
Determine the discharge in the system if the difference in water
(v=1x10-6 m/s) surface elevations is 30 m.
