Water (Cp = 4.18 kJ/kg.K) entering a counter flow heat exchanger at 20°C is to be heated to 60°C by an oil (Cp =2.1 kJ/kg.K). The oil enters at 100 °C and leaves at 70°C. If the water flow rate is 65 kg/min and the heat exchanger area is 25 m2 , determine: a) the logarithmic temperature difference and b) the overall heat transfer coefficient of this heat exchanger. USE the LMTD method to solve the problem. Write down all your assumptions.
