A thin circular disk has outer radius b and inner radius a (similar to Fig. P6-6.2). The radial displacement u at r= a is zero. The outer boundary (r = b) is subjected to pressure p and is otherwise unconstrained. Determine the stress components (Or, de) as functions of polar coordinate r. Hint: See Eqs. (6-6.4) and (6-6.5), and note that the boundary conditions must be satisfied. The problem is one of plane stress in the plane of the disk.
