An ideal Otto Cycle has a compression ratio of 10. At the
beginning of the compression process, air is at 100 kPa, 0.004 m3
and 10°C. The maximum cycle temperature is 1200oC. Use
cold-air-standard assumptions (𝑐𝑝 = 1.005 𝑘𝐽 𝑘𝑔𝐾 , 𝑐𝑣 = 0.718 𝑘𝐽
𝑘𝑔𝐾 , 𝑘 = 1.4), determine
a) Maximum Pressure in the cycle
b) the heat rejection and the net work output
c) the thermal efficiency
