Pr.3- A gas tank (cylinder) which has a 2 ftº volume contains a mixture of gaseous fuel methane (CH4) and oxygen (O2) at STP conditions (14.7 psia and 70 deg F), initially. Chemical analysis of the sample cylinder yields the mixture to be 20 percent by volume methane and 70 percent by volume oxygen. Assuming that both gases and the mixture behaves like an ideal gas, determine: (i) the mass fraction (xi) of methane and oxygen in the tank, (ii) total mass of the gas mixture in lbm, and (ii) amount heat input Qin in Btu's need to get the mixture temperature to 200 deg F.
