4. A multistage axial flow compressor absorbs 6.4 MW when delivering 34 kg/s of air from stagnation condition of 1 bar and 288K. If polytropic efficiency of compressionis 0.912 andifthe stage stagnation pressure ratio is constant, calculate (a) pressure at compressor outlet, (b) number of stages, (c) overall isentropic efficiency of compressor. Temperature rise in the first stage may be taken as 20.5°C.
