EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS: Oscilloscope Function Generator Circuit Breadboard 10k Ohm Resistor 0.01 uF capacitor PROCEDURE: Circuit 1: Low-pass Filter R + 10 k2 с CH1 - Vin CH 2 V out II 0.01 F Figure 1 4.1.1 Construct the circuit as shown in Figure 1. Connect the function generator and oscilloscope as shown in Figure 1. 4.1.2 Set Vin to 10Vpp at 500Hz sine wave. 4.1.3 At the oscilloscope, press AUTOSET, and then MEASURE 4.1.4 Set the measurement at the oscilloscope screen to CH 1 Pk-Pk and Frequency. Then set also CH 2 Pk-Pk and Frequency. 4.1.5 Record CH 2 peak to peak value, which is output voltage, Vout of the circuit in Table 1. 4.1.6 Increase the frequency as stated in Table 1. Record the CH 2 peak to peak value each time the frequency increased in Table 1. Make sure that Vin is maintaining at 10Vpp each time you increase the frequency. 4.1.7 Based on your result in Table 1, plot Output Voltage, Vout versus Frequency in the graph paper provided. (Label all the axis and use maximum space in the graph). 4.1.8 Switch OFF the function generator and the oscilloscope. Keep all the equipments and the components back in the original position. 4.1.9 Calculate the cutoff frequency, fc, according to the values for R and C in Figure 1. Show all your calculations and write down your answer in Table 3. 4.1.10 From the graph, find the cutoff frequency by tracing the frequency where the magnitude of the output voltage is 70.7% of from the maximum value. In other way, the V frequency when the magnitude is equal to Label the frequency at the graph and V2 record the value in the Table 3. 4.1.11 Prepare the lab sheet for submission.
