I am having issues with this assignment:
The simulations referred to in the homework are expected to
be completed using Xcos from Scilab. The simulations I can
deal with but my trouble is regarding the equations and trasnfer
function equations. The equations are from transfer functions
of Controller Systems: P-controller, PI-controller,
PID-controller, among others. I would appreciate the help.
. = Activity 1: There is an unstable plant with transfer function H(s); For this plant obtain: $-3 o The location of the pole and comment why the system is unstable. o Perform a simulation and show the unstable output. Activity 2: • For the same Plant in Activity 1, Find a P-control system that relocate the pole at s=- 1 o Write down in a piece of paper all the equations and steps you needed to obtain the desired result. o What is the final value of Kp? o Perform simulations to validate your findings in paper. Activity 3: • For the overall system obtained in Activity 2, find a Pl-control system that eliminate the steady state error. o Detail all the equations and steps you needed to obtain the result. o Perform simulations and obtain the final value of Ki to stabilize the system in less than 10 seconds. o Why is not possible to stabilize the system in less than 4 seconds? What happens when you increase Kp? o Add a derivative controller to obtain a complete PID. Play with different Kd values and see if you get a better response (a better response means, small overshoot, fast rise time, fast settling time, and small steady state error, check figure 24).
