(b)You are required to design a low-loss power converter with an output voltage of 12V, output power of 100W and input voltage range of 20 to 25V. The following components are to be used in the design: Inductor: L= 1000, ESR = 500m2 MOSFET: • Roson = 40m0; • voltage switching rise and fall times are 80 ns each; • and current switching rise and fall times are 40ns each. Diode: 0.7V drop when conducting Capacitor: negligible series resistance and inductance Assuming a simple buck power converter topology is chosen, determine: 0 The limits on the duty cycle based on the operating conditions of the converter. You may assume no losses in the converter for this calculation. | (1) The maximum conduction losses in the circuit at rated output current. You may assume that the effect of ripple current on the losses is negligible. a () A suitable switching frequency for the converterassuming maximum peak to peak inductor current ripple of 5% is allowed at rated output current.
