Part 1: A single-phase half-wave controlled
rectifier is to be designed to transfer power from
an AC source
to a DC source. The power values to be
transferred to the DC source are provided in Table
1
together with the AC and DC source voltage
values. Design the rectifier circuit according to the
provided information
Pdc (M)= 80, Vde (V=45, Vrms (V=120, f (Hz)=60
and provide the mathematical calculations related
to the circuit.
Part 2: Simulate and verify the rectifier circuit
designed in "
"Part 1' using SPice software.
Compare the results obtained in
"Part 1"
" with the
simulation results obtained in PSPice.
