2.1 The magneto coil of
a car rotates at 1300 rpm. The coil has 80 windings and a
length and width of 70 mm and 90 mm respectively. The pole shoe has
an area of 0.4 m2 and it moves through a magnetic flux
of 35 mWb. Determine the induced
emf.

2.2 Draw a pole shoe of a DC
Machine and show the field winding. Use this to investigate if the
dimensions of the coil in 2.1 above is realistic w.r.t the shoe
area. If you feel it is unrealistic recommend better
dimensions
