1. A California orange cooperative has asked you to develop a
monthly forecasting model for its marketing division. They have
provided you with the following data.
a) Determine if there is a linear trend in the data.
b) Plot the data on a chart.
c) Fit a semi-average trend to the data.
d) Fit a freehand trend line to the data.
e) Fit a least squares linear trend to the data.
f) Forecast the trend value for the year 2008, 2009, and
2010.
g) Compare and analyze the results of all the three models
