The information here is the same for answering questions 51 to 54. A medical treatment (A) is given to COVID patients admitted to a local hospital. Fortunately, 30% of patients will fully recover and can be released from hospitals. The remaining 70% patients will need to go through a second treatment (either C, 50% or D, 20%) before they will fully recover and can be released. Assume 100 patients per day are being admitted to the hospital for medical treatments. Capacity utilization for resource treating patients from A to D is calculated using 2,000 hospital beds designated for COVID treatment. The process diagram is given here for reference. 30% с 8 days 50% A Admitted 7 days Released 2 days 20% D 10 days
Which one is the bottleneck of the entire process? с B No bottleneck in this process because all resource utilization rates are less than 100% A
