for a company who are acting as the
consulting engineers to a major new hospital. The hospital will
be located beside a
primary school for deaf and blind children. The chosen location
is a greenfield site
with some natural features including several mature trees
subject to Tree
Preservation Orders, a narrow stream which is prone to flooding
in high rainfall and
some frog orchids, listed as a
priority species of conservation concern in Northern
Ireland.
Nearby roads are mainly narrow with sharp bends.
There is a large housing
development nearby suffering from high unemployment, some
long-term health
inequalities and low incomes.
