Part TWO A next step is to locate collected from part one
macroeconomic data for the time period. At a minimum, gather the
following sets of data for your time period. Using a spreadsheet
program (Excel, SPSS, etc.), shows data in table, identify each
component and its value for particular year and then represent data
graphically by plotting each of the macroeconomic measure (i.e.
changes of unemployment rate over 3 years ) series separately (the
data series on the vertical axis, year on the horizontal). Include
a brief description of what the graph shows. [20 points] Part 3.
Next step, regress GDP function of Lebanon, by using your favorite
spreadsheet software. Represent estimated GDP for 2021 as a linear
function. Provide full explanations and supporting calculations.
Which components of GDP are statistically significant
and which ones are not, based on your research? [30 points]
Part 4. Written Component. After collecting and graphing the data,
and learning something about the period, use the AD/AS model
developed in class and in the textbook to analyze the important
economic happenings. What are relationships between these
components? Draw the appropriate graphs and include a text analysis
of how and why the curves shift. [20 points] Part 5. Based on your
analysis, identify appropriate way (tools) to boost the economy of
your country (fiscal/monetary policy). Carefully explain your point
of view. Hint: Read chapter 20 pages 490-497 and 506-513. [15
