Problem 10.1. Dipole in a solid dielectric sphere A point dipole is placed at the center of a solid dielectric sphere of radius R and dielectric constant k. a) Find the electrostatic potential at points both inside and outside the sphere. - b) Make a Mathematica plot of the dimensionless potential Þ(r) vs. the dimensionless radius for dielectric constant k = 10. Label the axes. A contour plot in the x– z plane with z along the direction of the dipole made using ContourPlot[] should work pretty well for this. Show the Mathematica commands that you used to make your plot so that I can figure out any difficulties you may have had. R c) Find the electric field at all points both inside and outside the sphere. d) Make a Mathematica VectorPlot in the x – Z] -z plane with z along the direction of the dipole of the dimensionless electric field E (4760 Rº) vs. the dimensionless radius for dielectric constant k = 10. Label the axes. Show the Mathematica commands that you used to make your plot so that I can figure out any difficulties you may have had. р R
