Part 2 Locate Lemon Creek on your map of Arthur Kill ask if you can't find it!). Draw a stream profile, showing the altitude of the stream from its source near Woodrow Road to where it enters the ocean at Princes Bay. The horizontal scale will be the same as the map scale, and the vertical scale should be 1 inch = 40 feet. Use the graph paper provided. On your profile you should indicate both horizontal and vertical scales and label the source and mouth of the stream. GEO 101 Instructor: Maria Ivanova Draw two topographic profiles, illustrating the shape of the cross-section of the stream valley, one where the stream is at a height of 60ft and the other where the stream crosses Hylan Blvd. Each topographic profile should extend 2000 feet on either side of the stream. Use the same scales as the previous diagram, and again, use the graph paper provided. Do not forget to submit the stream profile and 2 cross-sectional profiles with your lab to receive points for part 2.
