At the start of the rainy season, Breviceps macrops, Xerus inauris and Struthio camelus walk out of the Kalahari desert and into a pub. There, over cold pints of Windhoek lager, they regale other pub patrons with stories how they survived an extremely hot dry season. Fill in their narrative (be creative!), using your understanding of these terrestrial animals' thermo- and osmoregulation.
