1. (5 points) In class we discussed a simple, isolated system, of four gas particles con- strained to a two-bulb system similar to that pictured below. In terms of statistical entropy, why would a system of four particles spontaneously progress from all four par- ticles in the left chamber (as shown in figure below) toward a state with two particles in each bulb?
