A helium-neon laser (wavelength 632.8 nm) illuminates a double
slit experiment, positioned 35 cm from the laser. Both slits are
0.3 mm wide and their centers are 2 mm apart. The diffraction and
interference pattern is displayed on a screen 1 m away, parallel to
the double slit experiment.
Exercise 1) Calculate the width of the central diffraction
peak
Exercise 2) Calculate the intensity of the double-slit experiment
on the screen at a distance of 5.7 cm from the center as a function
of the incident intensity l0.
