For Neural Circuits: Voltage Signals are a way of representing
information in the nervous system. There are multiple ways for one
neuron to "code" information. A single neuron can also be
"augmented" or upgraded in the sense of the behavior similar to a
bigger "neural circuit."
The request of the essay is to provide an example from the
neural system that information can be presented by one (single)
neuron and how it can be upgraded by the actions of a larger
circuit.
First, provide a neural system.
Second, provide the information that a single
neuron can represent in a circuit. Third, figure
out the neural code which the neuron uses to share this info
(specific examples in which the response of it could alter as a
stimulus is changed). Four, explain how the data
shared by a single neuron can be "augmented" by the circuit (as in
how the cells react more informative in regards to the activity
relative to other cells). Please give a specific
example of how the response of a single neuron is more informative
when it's relative to the whole behavior of the circuit.
Then explain how it fits in with neural
hierarchy.
I was trying to use the visual system and explain how cones and
rods work.
