has been a dumping site for PCBs. Many people and their families
eat the fish from this river. A team of assessors was asked to
estimate the rate of lifetime exposure for the residents of this
community. They determined that the rate of exposure for those
ages
11 to 17 was 0.002 mg/kg/day
infants it was 0.004 mg/kg/day
people ages 1 through less than 11 it is 0.001 mg/kg/day
Ages 17 to 70 was 0.003 mg/kg/day.
Please calculate a lifetime cancer risk for residents
and describe the community's total cancer risk and
age-specific risk for infants, children, and adults.
