Based on Rock-Eval pyrolysis, the Pl was less than (0.1); source rock is not matured. Whereas, based on the inorganic chemical technique analysis, the studied source rock revealed the presence of illite and chlorite; the presence of illite and chlorite may indicate that the source rock is matured. Is the source rock intervals matured or not? Explain that?
