How do Cytotoxic T-Cells kill target cells? The Cytotoxic T-cells release pro-apoptotic proteins, perforin and granzyme. The perforin creates holes in the target cell's membrane to then let in the granzyme the T-cell released that will trigger apoptosis. The Cytotoxic T-cells use a plasma membrane javelin to impale the target cell. The Cytotoxic T-cells create a membrane attack complex that lyses the target cell. The Cytotoxic T-cells use calcium signaling in hippocampal neurons to make the target cell forget it exists and thus it fades from the tangible plane of existance. The Cytotoxic T-cells infect the target cell with a specific variety of viruses causing the cell to lyse, release the viruses, and usually cause necrosis of a large portion of the affected organ. ООО
