Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a
cause of staph infection that is difficult to treat because
of resistance to some antibiotics, including penicillin.
This was not the case when penicillin was discovered as it was
thought to be a super drug against bacterial infections. How and
WHY might antibiotic resistance developed over the years?
