Radium has a half-life of 1620 years. Watch hands were
coated with Radium in the 1920s so they would glow in the
dark. They were a hot item. (Ha Ha!). People threw the
watch away when they learned it could cause cancer. Use the
formula 0.5n x 100 to find the percent
remaining. Would you wear one today if you found
one?
