11.10 Water from a tank A is siphoned over a summit to another tank B. The elevations of water levels in tanks A and B and of the pipe centreline at the summit are 100.00, 85.00 and 105.00 meters respectively. The pipe is of 15 cm diameter and is 800 m long from A up to tank B and 120 m long from A to the summit. Assume a friction factor of 0.025 and estimate the discharge and pressure at the summit. [Atmospheric pressure = 10.0 m (abs)). (Ans Q = 26.3 L/s, P2 = 47.85 kPa (abs)]
