1. Select reinforcement for a beam 350 x 700 mm (bxh) to carry dead load moment of 40 kN-m, live load moment of 100 kN-m (both service) (Including beam weight). fc' = 30 MPa and fy = 400 MPa. Show the sketch of your design. Use 75-mm. effective cover. For the factored load, use 1.2 DL and 1.6 LL. 2. = Use p = 0.5pb, design the simply supported beam shown in the Figure below.fo' = 28 MPa and fy = 420 MPa. Use d/b1.5.
