Q2. A rigid joint plane frame with a point load and uniformly distributed loads is shown in Figure Q2. The joints are numbered and members are labelled as shown. Joint 1 is fixed and joint 4 is pinned. The relative flexural stiffness for the members is shown in Figure Q2 (note for member BC the El value is 2). Using the moment distribution method obtain the solution due to sway and plot the final bending moment diagram showing all significant values.
