Question 1 Below is the cross section of a boat that is experiencing a load of 1000 N over the side (On the beam installed on the boat as shown in Figure 1). For this boat, the hull is a solid shallow vee. The beam material is Aluminium Alloy 6061 and the boat material is Carbon Fibre.
