The propeller on a fanboat used in the Flonda Ever glades moves
air at the rate of 50 kg/s. When at rest, the speed of the
slipstream behind the propeller is 45 m/s at a location where the
pressure is atmospheric. Calculate (a) the propeller diameter, (b)
the thrust produced at rest, and (c) the thrust produced when the
fanboat is moving ahead at 15 m/s it the mass flow rate through the
propeller remains constant.
