An amplification system consists of a source, an amplifier and a load. The source has an open-circuit output
voltage of 25 mV and an output resistance of 2 kΩ. The amplifier has an open-circuit voltage gain of 975, an
input resistance of 8 kΩ and an output resistance of 3 Ω. The load resistance is 3 Ω.
a) Draw the equivalent circuit of this system.
b) determine the voltage, current and power gains of the amplifier. If the load resistance is reduced to 2 Ω, determine the current gain of the amplifier.
c) A conductor carries a current of 15A and is at right angle to a magnetic field having a flux density of
0.6T. If the length of the conductor in the field is 25cm, calculate the force acting on the conductor.
Determine also the value of the force if the conductor is inclined at an angle of 0.524rad to the direction
of the field.
