A dc/dc converter (chopper) consists of a 150 V dc source in series with 10 22 load resistance and a bipolar junction transistor (BJT). For each cycle, the transistor is turned on for 100 us and turned off for 400 us. A) Draw the voltage and current waveforms of the 10 2 load. B) Calculate (i) the switching frequency of the chopper, (ii) the average voltage across the load, (iii) the average load current, (iv) the rms voltage (square root of the duty cycle times the peak voltage) across the load, (v) the rms current of the load, (vi) the rms power consumed by the load.
