Problem 3 (6 points) A hypothetical "real world" task: You are given a system of linear constant coefficient differential equations that describe a car. Within this system, you have a set of equations describing how the speed of a car changes as a function of the throttle valve position. The throttle valve position serves to regulate how much vaporized fuel enters the engine. You want to design a throttle control system which needs to determine how much to open or close the throttle valve to keep the car at a certain speed (aka cruise control). What transform, Laplace or 2, could you use to help simply aspects of this problem? Explain your reasoning for the transform you choose, and how you think it would simplify the task. Explicitly list any properties of the transform that you think would be most helpful.
