answer the following question using the Smith chart
A transmission line of Z. = 50 2 is connected to a given Zx = (0.3 +j0.2) normalized impedance of the load. Design a shunt matching circuit using a single open-circuited stub at 3 GHz frequency. Make use of the Smith Chart and determine the length and position of the stub for both options separately. Make a sketch of the stub connection for each option separately, workout all necessary values e.g., VSWR. Find the following: For option 1 a. Load Impedance in AZ (2) b. Load admittance [s] YL (2) c. Calculate the VSWR (2) d. Calculate the free space wavelength in [cm] 2 (2) e. Determine the Input impedance in 2 (2) f. Measure the Stub position distance "di" in wavelength (2) g. Calculate the Stub position distance "di" in centimetres from the load (2) h. Measure the Stub length "L" in wavelength (2) i. Calculate the Stub length "Li" in centimetres. (2) j. Final sketch of the stub connection circuit (2)
