Use the information above for the following. a) [25pt] Formulate
a linear programming problem mathematically to find which base
stations should be installed. You may choose to report screenshots
from your Excel/Python setup or a formulation with mathematical
symbols. Clearly define your decision variables, constraints and
the objective verbally. If you do not define your variables,
constraints and objective, you cannot get full credit. - Hint: You
do not need to formulate this problem with integer decision
variables. b) [15pt] Solve the linear programming problem defined
in part a) using Excel’s solver or Python. Report the values of the
decision variables, the objective function at the optimal solution.
c) [20pt] If you were allowed to sacrifice one community (i.e., do
not serve that community) out these 10, which community would you
sacrifice to save some cost? Justify your reasoning. Show that not
serving that community actually saves some cost.
