Problem 5 (20) Let || . || be a matriz norm on M, that is not necessarily induced by a vector norm. Consider the spectral radius of a matrix as a function p(-): MA + R. (a) Show that for all A € MP(A) < || A||- (b) If A € M, is not invertible, show that ||I – A|| > 1. (c) Prove or disprove that the function p-) is a matrix norm itself.
