23 renters and 27 buyers of similar sized properties in suburban
Melbourne were surveyed to determine the average weekly
repayment they made over the past year. Data is below:
Conduct a test at the 1% level of significance to determine if
the average payment for buyers is higher than that of renters. In
conducting the test make sure that any checks are carried out and
any appropriate assumptions are made. (Check: p-value in one of the
two tests is 0.892)
