The sample data below represent the total of 150 late
flights for 4 different airlines (A, B, C, and D.)
In order to determine if the population proportion of
late flights is the same for all four airlines,
the null hypothesis is formulated as
H0 : Pa = Pb = Pc = Pd
Answer the following questions.
1. What is the expected proportion for each category in
the null hypothesis?
2. What is the expected frequency for each category?
(Don't round it.)
3. What are the degrees of freedom?
4. Find the test statistic (rounded to 3
decimal places.)
5. Find the P-value (rounded to 3 decimal
places.)
