A study was designed to determine whether there were differences in mean serum cholesterol levels between women using oral contraceptives (treatment or test group) and women of the same age drawn from the general population (control group). The treatment consisted of 184 women who has a mean SCL of 198mg/100ml with a SD of 63. The control group (n=200) had a mean of 181mg/ml and a standard deviation of 6lmg/100ml. Estimate the population difference in average SCL.
