Consider the following randomized complete block design (RCBD), estimate the residuals of the given data and provide full residual analysis. Comment on the resulting plots by typing (hint: reproduce the residual plots of the book example on RCBD residual analysis before solving this assignment). You can skip the pp-plot part. Several experiments investigate the rodding of concrete to remove entrapped air. Different concrete specimens with different cross sections were used and the number of times this rod was used (rodding level) is the factor of interest. The resulting compressive strength (MPa) of the concrete specimen is the response. The analyst doubts that the shape of the specimen can affect the result of the experiments, but he is not interested in this factor. cylindrical square oval rectangular triangular Rodding level 10 15 20 25 18 16 15.6 19.5 14 16.4 17.2 15 15.2 17 19 13 16.8 15 18 14 17 19.5 16 14 Submission instructions 1. Prepare all the residual plots by using Microsoft Excel, 2. Copy the figures to a word file and comment on them by TYPING (handwriting will not be accepted and will not be graded) 3. Then save your work as pdf file submit it through the blackboard. DO NOT SUBMIT ANY OTHER FILES LIKE EXCEL ETC. 4. Late submissions will not be graded
