Lab 4: Random samples & sampling distribution Flip a coin 10 times, and record how many times you get heads and tails, respectively. Calculate the proportion of head for this sample. Repeat the process for 15 times (i.e., drawing 15 samples), and calculate the proportion of head for each sample. Then plot the frequency polygon for those 15 sample proportions. SAMPLE Number of Heads Number of Tails Sample Proportion of Head Sample 1 (n=10) Sample 2 Sample 3 Sample 4 Sample 5 Sample 6 Sample 7 Sample 8 Sample 9 Sample 10 Sample 11 Sample 12 Sample 13 Sample 14 Sample 15 Please answer the following questions: 1. For Sample 1, what proportion of heads do you get after flipping the coin for 10 times? 2. If we combine the first 10 samples, what proportion of heads do you get after flipping the coin for 100 times? 3. If we combine all 15 samples, what proportion of heads do you get after flipping the coin for 150 times? 4. Plot the frequency polygon for those 15 sample proportions of head (Hint: the value of sample proportion is on the horizontal axis and the frequency of each value is on the vertical axis).
