assistance at the tutoring center of a local community college was
45 minutes with a standard deviation of 20 minutes. The supervisor
at the tutoring center wants to know if this has changed. A random
sample of 38 visits to the tutoring center reveals an average time
per visit of 53 minutes. Does the evidence support the hypothesis
that the average time per visit has changed? (at α = .05)
