Samping is such an important concept in statistics that much of the design for statistical analysis is spent on determining the sample characteristics such as: how many data points are needed and how should dot points be selected? The early coverage of hypothesis testing continues to reflect the importance of selecting a quality statistical sample for analysis. This discussion board alignment is thus going to deepen our understanding of sampling and how important it is to the material covered in the loter parts of the class SITUATION St. Andrew's College received 900 applications for admission in the upcoming year from prospective students. The applicants were numbered from 1 to 900, as their applications arrived. The application form contains a variety of Information including the individual's Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) score and whether or not the individual desires on camous housing. At a meeting in a few hours, the Director of Admission is having a media presentation and would like to announce information about SAT score and applicants that want to live on campus for the population of 900 applicants. However, the necessary data on the applicants have not yet been entered in the college's computered database REQUIRED Your Original Post (70% of assignment grade) Using the knowledge from the unit plonge answer the following questions about the situation 1. Given the time constraints, it practical to look at at 900 applicants to collect data for the media presentation please provide your reasoning as to your answer 2. If the decision is made to sample the population of 500 applicants what methods could be used to create the sample for analysis Provide at least 3 methods that could be used in this situation 3. What statistical measures would be appropriate to calculate and present? Provide at least 2 statistical measures you do not have to provide the formula and bey describe how there would be useful in this situation
