A study was done to compare various therapies for teen girls
suffering from anorexia.
A random sample of 34 anorexic girls received family
counseling, and their weight gain was recorded at the end
of the course of therapy.
The sample mean weight gain was 7.29 pounds with a standard
deviation of 7.18 pounds.
Use the six step process to perform a hypothesis test to try to
demonstrate that family counseling is effective in promoting
weight gain of more than 2.5 pounds on average over the
course of family counseling among teen anorexic girls. Use a
confidence level of 99%.
