As a worker at a puck manufacturing factory, you
want to make sure that all the packages of pucks you sell
are comparable, with 30 pucks per package. In the
factory, pucks are poured into boxes until the
package reaches its sale weight. To determine whether a
similar number of pucks are poured into each package, you randomly
sample 25 packages about to leave the factory and count the number
of pucks in each one. You find the mean (m) number of pucks in each
box to be 28.9, with s = 2.25. Perform the 4 steps of hypothesis
testing to determine whether the average number of pucks per
package differs from the expected average of 30. Use alpha of .05
and a two-tailed test.
