The Electric company charges different rates depending on the amount of Kilo Watt Hours (kwh) used. If a customer uses 600 kwh or below, they are charged $7 plus $.05 per kwh. More than 600 and up to 980 will cost $37 plus $0.05 per kwh. If the customer uses more than 980 kwh's the cost is $51 plus $0.03 per kwh. a) Write the piecewise function b) Graph the function on Resmas and make sure to attach a picture to the test. c) Where is the function discontinuous? Find the limits as x approaches that value of x from the right and from the left. There could be more than one. d) If a customer always uses 980 kwh would they save money using 981 kwh? Explain including how much more or less it would be.
