Recall from homework 6 that the matrix A= (1/5 2/5 2/5 4/5 implements projection onto the line L = Span(1,2). Check that theorem 8 in Section 6.3 works for the example W = Span(1,2) and y= (-3, 4) by (a) calculating the vectors Ay and y - Ay and (b) Showing Ay and y - Ay are perpendicular.
